tune up nightmare
i didnt have to take my hoist bracket off. on #6, i reached under the master cylinder to get to it. ripped out the wire, but got it out that way. I have wookie arms, though, and i barely reached it from that side.
it helps to push in the metal sleeves, too.
I had a heck of a time with my #6. I twisted and pulled on the boot and still broke the wire off. I think after the wire broke I ended up using a small pair of vise grips to remove the end. I also didn't take the bracket off and my honkin' size arms were bruised half way down my left fore arm. When I do plugs next year the bracket is coming off.

Its only other function is to hold the sight sound shield cover on and you're not running with that on right?....RIGHT?
