Default Trunk Mounted 12 Disc CD Cartridge

Is anyone aware of "after market" cartridges for the trunck mounted CD player? I just phoned my dealer for a price on a second cartridge and the price was $85! This seems like a ridiculous price for this plastic cartridge?

If I remember right i think Pioneer cartridges fit it, but I don't know for sure. I thought i saw someone mention that on here a while back.

Yes "Delco" trunk mounted players are Pioneer, a Pioneer cartridge will fit

I bought my 2001 SLE used and it has a Pioneer FM 1257 CD Changer in the trunk but the magazine (cartridge) was missing. Is this the Changer that was a option on the SLE or aftermarket? I can't seem to find a cartridge for it, but i've yet to try the dealership.

If it sez Pioneer then its probably aftermarket, mine is an OE 12 disc changer (it sez Delco) but I know Pioneer made it. Its far more expensive to get it from the dealer, go to a Big Box electronics store like Best Buy or Future Shop, get the Pioneer 12 disc cartridge, if it works, great, if not return it and splurge at the dealer.

Thanks Jim.....I can order a magazine for the CDX-FM1257 through a place in Toronto for 39.00 plus taxes and shipping.
