2002 Bonneville ssei every couple weeks trans gets jerky seems like your in to high of gear . then it will have code 742. then it will go away for a week or two. what is involved to repair this?

P0742 may cause full line pressure apply, causing harsh shifts....

Usually is, tcc stays engaged...could be bad TCC solenoid, fluid circuit, harness, etc.
