Yeah i got the motor mount fixed and new rear struts, but i still have a noticable shimmy at acceleration. any ideas? this isnt the same old shimmy everyone talks about because my car never road as horrible as when i need new tranny/motor mounts. anyways though, what can i expect with new struts? because i kind of felt like i had the same ride and right height even though i know there are new struts on.

Any noises with the shimmy? What does the steering wheel feel like? Is the shimmy in your hands, or the seat (likely both, but where more so)?

Question 1st: You really have rear struts, or rear shocks on your car. I thought you just had front struts.

Please describe exactly what you mean by "shimmy". Is the sensation kinda up and down like an out of balance tire or bent rim or side to side? Like the previous writer asked do you feel the sensation in the front, rear or whole chassis? If a "bounce" is the sensation in your steering wheel or seat of your pants?

well i guess it feels sort of like a wheel out of balanced or if you nailed a piece of trim across the tread to each tire and you were constantly rolling over it. but i only feel this sensation at heavy acceleration. and yes the wheel is shaking, feel it in the gas pedal and the seat has a vibration also.

Did they change the strut mounts when they changed the struts? Because usually when the struts are worn out, the mounts have worn out first.

oh ok, so i have rear shocks with air assist. Is there coils around the air shock in the back? i could have sworn there were coils on the shock before, but now with the new shock. I just have the shock without the coil/spring.
