I've been putting off getting new tires for quite some time now. Lately, the front/driver'* side tire has been needing air about once a week, so the time for new tires seemed closer and closer...

Anyway, what do I see this morning as I open my garage door? Flat tire. And I mean flat.

So I put on the ol' doughnut and head to work to begin looking for a good/affordable tire. I really like the Pirelli P-Zero Neros http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....del=PZero+Nero. The treadwear, etc. is comparable to the Eagles I have now, and you can't beat the price.

Well, what I'm looking for here is if anyone has experience with these tires. Anything in particular I should be looking for and any suggestions for other tires. I don't really want to spend more than $150 and would like to keep it under $130.

Don't know much about the P-Zero'*, but I know a couple of us on BC have these.

If you look around you may be able to get a better price for them. I got mine with road hazard, mount and balance out the door for 640.00 and for 120.00 more I got lifetime alignments from firestone.

Toyo Proxes TPT is an excellent tire and maybe one to consider. Might be $170 per tire though. (installed)

If you have alloy wheels the tires going soft may be from corrosion. Wherever you purchase the tires make sure they will clean off this corrosion before mounting the tires. Ask to see the wheels after they unmount the old tires & again after cleaning.

yea, I ran Pirelli on my 92, I think they were P-Zero'* the tread was just amazing, at around 150 per they were worth it though

as for the toyo'* I currently have those on the recent purchase I enjoy them as well.
