It'* been a long time since I have been on this. Almost two years since I was hit by a drunk driver in my 2001 SSEi. Neddless to say I fixed my car and traded it in. The next owner actually sold the vehicle within two weeks. The following owner totaled it. So, within a six weeks the car was in two accidents. I finally was able to pick up a 2003 SSEi with 32K on the clock. My queston is if this vehicle is equipped with a cabin air filter like my 2001? I don't even see it when I look for it? Any ideas? I purchased the vehicle thinking that it was taken out. Any help would grately be appreciated! Thanks..

I do not believe that it came with the filter. This is a thread where it was discussed, along with some part nuimbers.

what does it do anyway? I've noticed it but didn't really know what it did.

It filters the air for the interior of the car.

The 2003 Bonnevilles came equipped with provisions to install a Cabin Air Filter, but did not actually have the filter element installed. ??? You can get a Fram Cabin Air Filter which comes with the frame support & the filter element and do the install into the cabin filter compartment located right side firewall. When you look into the compartment, you can see the heating/cooling squirrel cage blower.

I looked the other day on the 03 and it had one in it. Kinda crazy I told my brother he would have to get one and it already had one, really really dirty though.

Mine didn't come with the filter. I ordred the Fram filter listed in the other post.

Thanks I still have not seen my new car because my brother picked it up in Florida. I will tell him and I will order the fram filter. I will post some pics after I finish some mods.
