hey ya'll! i put on some bendix ceramic pads last time and initally i thought they were pretty good. they stop good. they also blacken my chrome wheels like a ****. and they didnt last too long, either, i gotta replace them already.(my stabilicrap applying brakes all the time doesnt help either, lol). anybody have any suggestions on brake pads? im probly sticking to stock-type rotors(probly just get new ones), dont think i can afford fancy rotors.

I've had good luck with Monroe ceramic pads for the last 3 years, minimal brake dust and still has great stopping power.

Raybestos Quiet-stop ceramics here. Had them for about 3 years? Very little dust.

Raybestos has revamped their offerings to now be only known by the names "Advanced Technology" (in a black box), "Professional Grade" (in blue box), and "Service Grade" (in a red box). I'm using the Raybestos "Advanced Technology" pads and rotors. I've had them a little less than a year, but I'm quite satisfied with them. Good quality and minimal brake dust. These are basically the replacements for the ceramic'* Will mentioned.

I have used most of the common "performance" pads, Bendix & Raybestos ceramic as well as Hawk pads and was not impressed with any of them. I have had the best luck with Akebono pads from Rock Auto, I have them on 2 Bonnevilles and just put a set on a Mitsubishi. They are quiet and they do not create dust.
