Also, you may want to retrieve the part and serial numbers from all your modules to keep as reference. This can be done with (but not limited to) the instrument cluster, radio, DIM, etc.

Thanks, DDalder. I would imagine that it could be handy for the '93.
Pat, check the info under the specs for the 4T65e for 2000+ in tech info and see if any of that helps.

If you're looking to spend less and get everything in a Tech 2 tool, have you considered Auto Enginuity'* software for a PC. For $399 you get the basic ODBII scan tool and cable plus a GM specific expansion module. Looks quite comprehensive to me. http://www.autoenginuity.com/products.html I'd be willing to look into getting numbers for a group purchase if we had some people interested.
For those with ODBI, they don't currently support ODBI and when I asked, they weren't sure if they were going to do an ODBI interface. They weren't sure if the market was there to support sales of the ODBI interface since the new stuff is ODBII and going to CAN soon.

that scanner is just that, a scanner. It cannot change settings on the PCM like the TECH II can. The Auto-Tap is the same story, you can read plenty of readings, and codes, but you cannot change anything.

AutoEnginuity does have two way commuications for activating various switches, solenoids, and relays. The only permanent change that it can do is the CASE learn.
