i read the post regarding the codes that are in the trunk (over spare tire). are these the codes of options/accesories that are in that particular vehicle?

i remeMber someone wondering about remote entry...the AUO code. does this mean you can have that option installed. i thought anyone with eletric door locks could have the remote entry installed.

anyway- i had all the codes in that list except 1SX, IF3(?) and C75- lamp interior,front header, courtesy & dual reading , t but i do have that feature. what up?

also does anyone know what these are?

it will tell you what each code means. Yea, i started this whole thing about the codes, and i still haven't got the answer to the whole reason it started. HOW DO I PROGRAM MY KEYLESS ENTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i thought the AUO only means that you are able to have remote entry installed since you have auto door locks (assuming you do).

if you figure out otherwise, let me know as i have that code as well. perhaps we could call our pontiac dealers.

AU0, means u have keyless entry installed on ur car. the codes on the spare tire cover are options you have that are installed on your car from factory

if u need a remote gmpartsdirect.com can help you in that department. i am still trying to figure out how to program it. The dealer wants $40.00 to program it.

will any GM remote work or does it have to be specific for the car?

it has to be a specific FCC# on the back of the remote

AU0 is for keyless entry

thereis also an AU5-Lock Control, keyless entry, specific frequency.

and is there a difference between
keyless entry (AU5)
and remote entry (AU0)??
