Im hearing creaking noises from my upper strut mounts, shld i spray thm with wd40 or is this smthn i need to replace. (2000 pontiac Bonneville ssei). Its the rubber parts thts right under the top bolt, is thr sum filler i cld put in thr. The struts are still good no excessive bounce to thm...

ive never heard of any quick/temp fix for something like that. those are relatively inexpensive but you need an alignment after. if your car has 80-100k or more i would do struts anyway just because the cost of the alignment relative to new struts.

there is a technical service bulletin on this. the spring wears through the insulator that sits below the mount. not saying thats exactly what it is but likely...The insulator is cracked on my RF strut.
