thats arguable, as a developing comdition it is just an annoyance, however the problem COULD progress to the point of a u-joint failure in the shaft ultimately eliminating your ability to steer. the odds of this actually happening are slim to none

Don't even try. It'* a lost cause. Many have tried.

Much of the satisfaction you get even under warranty is totally dependent on the quality of the dealer'* service department where you go.

Thanks for the info. guys. I work with a former GM-certified mechanic so we're going to at least take a look at it and see what we think. Doesn't bother me a whole lot but if we can fix it I'd like to.

I have the EXACT same issue with my '02 SSEi. been in the shop several times and the dealer still has yet to fix. Only clunks to the right.

I am looking in my paperwork to verify if they have replaced. Still under warranty

Does anyone have a Service Bulletin on this I can take to the dealer?

Yep, 14K miles. It was my grandmothers. I was very surprised to hop it in and notice a "clunk" with such low miles.

Clunk aside, I am impressed with it'* performance. I'm pretty sure it could take my '96 Cutlass Supreme.

Thanks for the info. guys. Hopefully my mechanic friend and I can shed some light on it and at least figure out if it is the shaft. I'll post what we find out.
