OK, the final follow-up. Went ahead and got a new cluster from the salvage yard for 40 dollars. I swapped the prom chips and the lens (mine was in better shape) and I am now back in business. The replacement works beautifully and no bulbs out. Thanks to everyone for their advice. This forum saves all us Bonnie owners untold sums of money.
