simple, simple, simple.
the MAF sensor is located on top of the throttle body.

first, just disconnect the electrical connector, does it run better?
next, try cleaning it to see if that fixes it. you need to take off the sensor to clean it. there are 2 security torx bits that hold it on. you have 2 options: either get a security torx bit, or use a dremel to cut a notch in the top so you can unscrew it.
spray the little wires with this stuff, but be gentle

if cleaning it doesnt work, you probably need to replace it. I would find a used one, as the new ones are quite expensive.

I don't know if rubbing alcohol will damage the sensor, why didn't you use what I told you to? If the battery is dying, you need to find out why before continuing to troubleshoot your other problem. Once you get the battery charged, does the car run if you unplug the MAF?
