Each puck i bought are 1 inch height.= 3 inch

+ 1 big washer under the pucks, + 1 big washer over the pucks , + 1 smaller washer over the big one .

3 3/8 inch , exactly the same height as my old one.

3 1/2 inch is good too.

Mine is like that and tighted the nuts, not too much, and its really good.
Slight vibration, but nothing annoying.

I dont know why your car is dying like that :?
I dont think its related tought. 3 1/2 should be enought , thats about the same height as the stock mount.

Goodluck

mike... im posting your directions because my inbox is close to booting your message already... and i dont wanna lose this.. i have the mount out right now, going to pick up supplies now

I bought 3 practice puck (pretty easy to see.... orange...lol)

2 big washer (one at each end)
1 smaller on the top

all that make the same height as my stock motor mount.

Just buy more than you need and you can compare with your old mount.

You can also use a aluminium piece with a hole in the center (to let the bolt go threw)
and 2 universal motor mount i think 3/4 inch each. one at each end, and he put big washer at each end. I had to try it with just the puck

You will need a new bolt, my mechanic bought a fully threaded bolt (sorry my english can suck sometime, but i know you know what i mean) like 1 foot long and he cut it the lenght he want....

You also need 2 nuts , or 4 if you double nut it. ive put a washer also on the top(see as pic)

In fact it look like a sandwich, with a bolt that go threw , the bottom hold by the frame with a nut under and a nut on the engine bracket.

When you remove the old mount, the engine will fall by like 1 inch maximum( still hold by the others mount), you can use a jack to support the engine if you want, its easier when you install the new mount.

Just remove the bolt off the engine bracket(to remove the bracket)
and theres a nut under the car also. And voila! the old is out.

Just make sure the new mount have the same height and you will be ok.

Its really easy and for your dad may be a 40 minute job maximum.

With the universal mount (i think its polyurethane) im sure it can have no vibrations or may be some minor, for sure you feel the engine a little, my engine is may be moving 1/8 inch. But i think thats not too bad , for what it give it worth it.

I will try to make a vid that you can see how quick the response is, for example, accelerating from a stop at low throttle and then just give more throttle just enought to get mid boost and instantly the tire spin,

the road is cold it help, but never it did that before

Im sorry i dont know the exact size of the bolt you need, i used the same as the old mount.

The distance between the bottom of the motor mount bracket and the top side of the cross member on my car is 3 5/8 inches. you can go to 4" , because if you had (or have) a stock mount it would spread to more than 4" when you put the power down. tighten the bolt down tight, you dont want any slop in the mount itself. i had to retighten my mount at about 30,000 miles , still tight after another 45,000 miles. 75+k and no problems so far.
