I read through the service manual and all came up with is the triangle sensor, used for the magnesteer and varible assist. Did you remove the tilt head shaft from the steering shaft? These have an index on them so they align back up again.
Is you steering wheel 'square' again when driving straight?

Ooooo, you should not have removed the column. This job can be done in about 20 minutes at a dealership. You must have damaged something or left something unplugged.

My guess is the steering wheel position sensor got damaged.

I did not remove the tilt head just the complete coloum , took it out of the car to inspect the itermediate shaft.. the steering wheel might of made a complete 360 turn but it drives straight with the wheel straight ... any help would be great .. mike

I also read that you might need a magnesteer calibration, if so that would be better than replacing a sensor.
You need to go to a dealer now and have it scanned with a tech 2.

You should not have removed the column------period!

If the wheel turned 360 or more degrees, than you may have broke the steering coil? Also known as the air bag coil.

This job should have been done with no movement of the wheel.

If BC would buy me a digital camera, I would be able to document this job in great detail for everyone to see.
