I had both wheel bearings changed abt 4mnths ago but now only when i go in reverse my sss light comes on...i thght it may have been a lower control arm issue (wild guess) so i changed it and nothing changes....guys help me out before i waste more money ....2000 pontiac bonnie ssei

Annnnnd, were gonna ask ya to dig for those ABS codes. Though you may have changed the front bearings, (speculation) and that would be a good starting point to diagnose your current ABS light, but having those code(*) would REALLY narrow it down to which wheel(*) are causing an issue.

Lower control arm is not related to SSS. Could be a steering wheel position sensor, a yaw sensor, a wheel speed sensor or one of several ABS components. Get the car scanned for codes by someone with a scanner that can read ABS and Chassis codes. Good transmission shops can usually do that. That is the only way to know what the problem is without throwing a lot of money at it.

B1232 - Left front wheel speed sensor open or shorted
B1245 - Wiper Rear Motor Run Relay Circuit Short to Battery
B1225 - Fuel Temperature Sensor #1 Circuit Short to Ground
Check the electrical connection and wiring for the WSS in the front left wheel. If all is okay with the wiring, looks like you should replace the front left bearing/hub. I will see if I can find more information on those other two codes, and confirm I have
the correct code definitions.

Forget my last post. Here are the correct code interpretations:
B1232 - Left front wheel speed sensor open or shorted
B1245 - Low tire pressure
B1225 - Left front wheel sensor signal erratic
So all codes point to the front left wheel speed sensor. Check the wires and electrical connectors, and if they are OK change the front left bearing/hub.

In case you don't know, tire pressure in our cars is determined by comparing relative readings between wheel speed sensors. That is why I am saying a code showing low tire pressure is consistent with a malfunctioning wheel speed sensor. All three codes point to the same problem.
Since you just installed new bearings 4 months ago, I would focus on the wiring.
What brand of bearing did you buy, and where did you buy it? If you have to buy another, don't get anything other than Timken. They are available on rockauto for under $100 each, and very much worth the price.

In that case, if you can afford it, buy two Timken hub/bearings and install them both. Going cheap ends up costing more in the long run. By all means, check the connector and wire, but my bet is you need to replace the cheap hubs you bought.
