5-STEERING WHEEL POSITIONNING SENSOR:
Symptom: You get a message on your DIC : "service stability system"
your electronicaly assisted steering wheel system will disengage, NOT DANGEROUS, you still have power steering...

Solutions: Get the car scanned for the code ,C1286, C1287, C1288(not 100% sure of the code) Get the car to dealer for repair, you can wait if you dont have a lot of money.

Cost:
Steering wheel positionning sensor: 98.15$ + taxes
Labor: 2h @ xx$

Many have same issue, it isnt a do or die situation, I just keep resetting on the DIC by pressing mode button. One day I will fix it is on the steering wheel shaft right before intermediate shaft.

What jdq said.

I've been getting that message at irregular intervals ever since the day after I lubed my steering shaft. Can't figure out what I did to cause that, but the sensor is on my list of things to replace once I get really tired of hitting the <reset> button.
