Default seat heater question

Have a 2000 Bonn;SSEi and the drivers side heated seat not working, just wondering if you remove the seat do you have to deactivate the airbag first, your if you disconnect all the plugs going to the seat will deactivate it.

There is a fuse in the fuse box under the rear seat you have to pull. Underneath the driver'* seat you will see a yellow hard shell connector with a safety tab (small piece of plastic on a tether). Pull the safety tab, which allows you to release the connector. This deactivates the driver'* seat airbag.
