Car hasn't failed since the last visit to Firestone. Still waiting for time to test the coils or for the next failure (whichever comes first). Injectors were cleaned via Firestone about 5000 miles ago. Thanks for the suggestions.

If they did the "fuel rail pressurized cleaner", that could play a part in your problem

It'* not usually recommended [by dealers] on older higher milage cars
It does a fantastic job of cleaning, but also loosens deposits/gum/varnish inside the manifolds and ports, that can leave particles floating around

Work great on newer cars as a preventitive maintence to prevent builup
I would still run a can of FI cleaner to help what is there

Ok, she'* acting up again so I tested the coils and they verified good. Since Firestone said that the injector wasn't getting the proper pulses I tried removing the connector to the injectors and when I remove the #1 injector the engine idle roughness doesn't change a bit, but when I pull one of the other injector connections off then the engine idle changes. I will get a can of the injector cleaner. Any ideas on how I can determine if it isn't the PCM or the injector?

I will get some fuel injector cleaner and see what happens.

Is there a way to just swap two injectors to verify the wiring? I put an o-scope on the connector of the injector and verified that the injector was being pulsed. Thanks for any assistance.

The injectors can be swapped. If an injector is not firing, you would get a SES light and then be able to pull a code.

You would need to disconnect the fuel rail from it'* mount. You then lift the fuel rail. The injectors will most likely come out with the rail. Watch for the O rings. Change two injectors and put it all back. Don't forget to unplug the injectors. It'* possible the injector is plugged up but not totally.

Ok, I put the injector cleaner in the fuel tank and a couple days later it runs better for about 5 min and then goes back to running rough for a couple days and then running better again. I checked the pulses going to the injector and they are approximately 24 ms apart and 2.5v in amplitude at idle. Anybody know what they are suppose to look like. I will swap injectors when it acts up again, but until then it is actually working fine. Can one injector be replaced or do they have to be replaced as a set?

Yes, you can change 1 injector at a time. I checked one of my scans and at idle I have a 3.0, to 3.1 msec pulse rate on my injectors.

In case you haven't, you really need to run a full tank of fuel with the cleaner before you get the full benifit
