Hi I am new to these forums. been reading post all week and found the advice very useful.
I have a 2000 bonnevile se with 200,000. miles on it, I bought it when it was 2 years old and kept up on the general maintenance. it had 2 problems this last month. first problem was a shudder in the steering when turning right. fixed that when I replace both cv joints. at the same time I replaced all 4 calipers, rotors, and brakes.
the second problem is a groaning sound in the right rear wheel when the brakes are applied. this was going on before I did any work on it. I thought it was the caliper since those brake pads were worn much more than the rest of them. when I had the wheels off I checked for any play in the wheel bearings but detected none. but I am thinking it could still be the bearing since it is about the only thing that hasn't been replaced. or could it have something to do with the abs brake system?
I'm just stumped.
thank you for any help you may give me. the car is still in great shape and worth fixing even though it has a lot of miles on it. never had any engine problems except motor mounts.

sounds like the hub bearing, usually any groaning sounds would be a bearing, I know from experience ive replaced wheel bearings on the front of my car 3 times. Dont think the rear would be much different.
