Default Rebuild a Tranny

Anyone know what the going price is to have a rebuilt tranny put in a 2000 Bonne SSEi?

Thanks

there are so many contributing factors... but im guessing you will see a price tag of about $1400 at a normal shop

I've got a local guy in North Dakota that I'd put up against anyone. He'* done 6 different vehicles I've owned over the years and has never charged more than $1100.

About a year or so ago, had a local shop that does work for ZZP give an estimate on my daughter-in-law'* car. He gave an estimate of $1,000 to $1,300 depending on what he found...so, Haro'* estimate is about right.

The reason I was asking is because there was a 2000 SSEi for sale for $4,400 but stipulated that the OD wasn't working, so I figured it maybe an idication that the tranny was going. I wondered what a rebuilt would be to get a better idea of the total cost. Unfortunatly the car has been sold. At least I'll know for the next time.

Thanks everyone.

Get back on topic.

I'm also researching trans rebuilding. Prices seem in line with what I've found.
