Pologuy, here is a old post with the part numbers of the Monroe. I am trying to remember what the challenges were with the air compressor service/ maintenance/ replacement. Sucks getting old and have "CRS".

Either the compressor fails and is very difficult to replace, or finding the correct air/strus to replace the OEM'* are even more difficult to find. Most people just pull the fuse for the compressor and use non-air struts.

Tried starting the car and sitting on the rear bumper to see of the rear end would go down and the compressor would engage - but nothing happened.

Not sure I weigh enough (180 lbs) to make the compressor engage...?

How do I go about finding the "non air compressor" shocks that fit the 2002 SSEi - if my compressor doesn't work...?

Go to your choice of parts outlet, look up the car, find the struts that mention [without autoride] or [auto-level] or [without air assist] or the like. Below and above the struts is the same.

I tried to find the monroe struts for you, but all I could find that says it fits are pricey but good OE struts.

And then you just pull the fuse for the compressor and install the non auto-leveling shocks like normal...?
