Nothing is as good as GM wires in my opinion...and damn good value too. I know some of the aftermarket wires look good, but that'* how they seduce you.

Plug wires CAN get you more HP.
Chevy high performance, September 2005 page 88
late-model Chevy pickup with a stock Gen III 5.3L V8
all the old plug wires had 950 ohms per wire .
new Granatelli plug wires LESS than 1-ohm (0.50 ohm actual reading)
just new wires got 15.3 hp improvement @ 5250 rpm
17.3 lb-ft of torque improvement @ 4250 rpm
they put a cold air kit + maf + wires and got
plus 55.05 hp at 5250 rpm
plus 45.10 lb-ft at 4850 rpm

The Belden Premiums that I have now look good and are well made plus they come with a life time warranty over the counter with receipt (dont throw away).

Add to the Belden, if you can't get these, Look for an Advance or one of the clones of advance like checkers, and see if thsy have a set of Autolite Profesional series wires.... Mine are on 3 years now with no problems...
I had failures with both Taylor and Bosch

When I dismantled the plug wire I found all they did was strip the insulation and fold back core wire and crimp on the plug retainer. very poor crimp too with stab marks in the insulation from the cheezy stamping tool
