Default Problem Just Got Bigger!!!

Ok, I'll refresh everyone memory first.

Now the new big problem. I haven't found out the part numbers yet. The noise has disapeared and the car will not accelerate normally. The boost gauge will not go to the boost side it stops just short of the vertical.

HELP!!!

Is the belt slipping? Another item to check would be the BCS, since it'* obviously dumping boost. Any loose vacuum lines?

Sound advise. Check the vacuum line under the SC snout (known area) and ensure the linkage and operation of the Boost Control Solenoid is good.

I finally got a chance to look under the hood and check on the problem....

My wife had told me that the car smelled like it was running hot or something was burning a few days ago....

As soon as I opened the hood I saw the problem....

What she failed to tell me was a couple days later she thought she hit something and looked in her mirror and saw something small and plastic shaped like a wheel bouncing down the road.

I found out which pully was making the most noise. The top idler(tensioner) pulley on the outside of the belt was shredded and the bottom idler pulley on the outside of the belt was spun off the "locked up" bearing and gone. The belt was laying on the frame kind of shredded looking. I'll post pictures of the removed parts later.

Lesson learned: Get the wife to explain what the car is doing more thoroughly and to open the hood and check everything before posting and asking questions.
