brought it to my mechanic and he said... i have heard that on a few L67'* before and said it is usually vaccum related. But he didnt have his scanner, he lent it out.

So we left, and got about 5 miles down the road and got a service engine code. Went straight to my uncles (mechanic). Throw it on the code scanner, came back evap. He listened and said it was also vaccum. We checked the lines and found the one from the TB to evap module was split. Fixed it, reset code. Drove it, came back and the noise seems to be gone. Well i wouldnt say completely gone but very very low in volume. Brought it back to my mechanic and he said to bring it over tomorrow, he would check the rest of the vaccum and put it on the scanner.

So for now, everything looks good.

Glad the bulk of the noise is gone.

I can tell you a story from 6-7 years ago when I kept having rockers come loose (bending pushrods etc...) once I finally had it right, I kept thinking I heard a noise still. it was the stock injector tick and normal valvetrain noise. I had myself so scared that any noise was a potential problem. :/

Have a tech look at it and give the vac system a clean bill of health. Have friends scan the car for codes and KR, fueling and timing to make sure she looks good. dont scare yourself into hearing noises unless someone that knows the motors well agrees. They arent quite engines.

keep us all posted
