Default Plastic clicking noise

When I start the car for about 5 seconds I hear a plastic clicking noise coming from the top left of the drivers dash. Could it be the gauge that is not working trying to reset or what? Or could it be the air mix actuator trying to move to hot and cant? I really don't have any idea why it is making this clicking noise..but once it stops it doesnt happen again until I restart the car. Ideas?

It'* your air mix actuator making the noise. Once you get that fixed, the noise will stop.

I seem to remember a while back another member had the same problem. The gear cracked so the shaft was turning inside the gear. That'* the clicking sound.

what exactly does this part do? Is it bad for the car if its broken? And where is it located and how does it get fixed?
