Not sure what'* going on but I think it'* probably a loose connection with the sensor or something..
When my e-brake is NOT engaged, it'* really sensitive so when if I just touch it slightly, it'll say the park brake is set when it'* really not.
Pretty annoying considering my leg hits it every two seconds. :?

Are you absolutely sure it'* all the way off? There is a known problem with these having a weak return spring. Try pulling it up towards you with your foot. It may come back just a little more.

If not, it'* likely an easy fix. There is a switch on the assembly that may just need a little adjustment. You should be able to see it with very little disassembly.
