Default P0128 - Replace with stock or Intense?

Well, on and off for two weeks now I'm throwing a SES light, due to error code P0128. It'* the stock thermostat on the car now, so my question is...

Should I replace it with a stock sensor (everyone on the car is stock as of right now), or should I replace it with an Intense thermostat

put a stock 195 in it for winter. I plan on putting mine back in soon, as my P0128 is coming up daily.

That'* a familiar code.
Haven't had it since Intense removed it from my PCM.....forever. :P

Don't worry, it doesn't do anything.....only warns you in case your stock stat is sticking open.

Haha yeah, I figured it wasn't anything too harmful, just annoying to look at

You can buy a cheap code clearing device from a local auto supply store like I did to clear annoying things like that.
It will activate the SES light on the second occurance of that fault every time.

Oh I already have one, so the SES light is not really a big deal at all. But just something I wanted to look into.

Yeah I was thinking the 180* too, with some other Intense stuff in mind that I'm saving up for to buy before spring

If it'* throwing a code with your stock stat, it means that your stock stat is hooped and does need to be changed.
I had not problems with a 180 Intense stat throwing the code.
It was only after I drilled a couple more holes in it.
Then when I went to the 160 stat I had the code disabled.
I don't worry about mileage because I am fuel foolish and care more about the power.
