I checked to see if there have been any complaints filed with the National HIghway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) concerning the window regulator failure, and I only found a few. The complaints that have been filed only cited maintenance reasons. They did not claim that it was a safety issue.

So, today I filed a complaint with NHTSA for my 3 regulator failures and claimed that the failure of the regulator created a safety problem for the rear passengers ( i.e. children can put arms or head out and be injured, cold air in the winter, hot air in the summer, etc. ) all of which are valid safety concerns.

Maybe if enough of us file a similar complaint with NHTSA, they will force a recall on GM.

Here is the web site for filing a complaint

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq

It takes about 5 minutes to file a complaint and you need your VIN#.

for those of you who file a complain, please also mention the fact that it'* a SECURITY concern too because somebody could reach through the broken window, unlock your door, etc. Security and safety go hand in hand.
