LOL I didn't bother reading any of this because I'm sure your only complaining because of the cost of replacement.

If so, your going about this all wrong!

You need to send GM a letter stating that you fear your children will fall out of a rear window that had a failed regulator while you were traveling 60 MPH down the freeway.

The window (glass) just dropped down with no notice and your 4 year old child started to lean out the open window...........Do you get where I'm comming from?!?!?!?!?

You fill in the rest.

Count me in on this. 4 regulators replaced so far...one of them twice.

Default safety

I have a three month old baby boy in the back seat and I am AFRAID for his SAFETY that the other window Regulator will snap and he will be put in harms way. I already have one window regulator that snapped and a pair of vice grips is holding the window up because the dealer wanted $520 to fix the window regulator. There solution to not fixing the window is to hold it up with a pair of vice grips. Is this safe? I think not. What will happen in an accident?

This topic will have to be deleted for this to work. When I said GM reads this forum, I wasn't kidding.

why... whats the problem, we are all voicing our concerns about this issue, we have members here that are concerned for the safety of their childern, and for good reason. Its not as if we are trying to claim something that isnt true.... The windows breaking is a safety issue..

whenever i take my nieces out somewhere (2 & 4 yrs old ) I put the window lock on so they cant decide to climb out the window. However, the windowe lock wont help if the regulator breaks on me.

This is just my thread on this problem ... there are others.

This is a problem where GM needs to take action. it is issues, annoying as they are, like these that cause LOYAL Pontiac owners to consider changing thier brand. i have been a Pontiac enthusiast for all my life. i thought killing the Trans Am line was a mistake - they still make Mustangs. I still think killing the Bonneville line is a big mistake - it could be made into a very respectable line to compete with the lower end luxury cars (see the other thread on this subject in our forum).

GM - Please step up and make this right.

I have had two go out on me(one on each side in the back). One was when My son was in his carseat in the automatic carwash. I was not a happy camper.
