I've kept mine activated for 2 years now and also buy the minutes for the phone. Only ever used it once for a motorcycle accident my husband and i came across on a back road where both driver and passenger died. I like it just for the peace of mind and when i don't get a signal on my cell phone i can use the car phone.

Has anyone used it like the LoJack? This is one of the big options that they state.

I have had mine activated for two years and like the peace of mind as I do a lot of highway driving. I also buy about 100 minutes a year for the phone since it works in areas where my cell will not.

Onstar now has a new feature where you can share your Verizon Cell Phone Minutes, kind of like the family share plan.

Onstar will function as a second line to an existing Verison account. You pay the few extra bucks for the additional line, but get to share the minutes with your phone'* calling plan.
