Default Oil Pressure on SSEI

What oil pressure are you guys seeing? At Idle? At road speeds?

I'm normally see about 110psi at idle, and the gauge essentially pegs at 120 at anything above idle. I suspect that the sender or gauge are off....I wanted to know if this is abnormal

I can't tell you how much I like the idea of having anyone pulling the dash apart. It always seems that a new squeek develops that you can't get rid of after such a procedure. So...if this is abnormal, I hope its the sender.

My gauge needle is usually 5/8 to 3/4 of full scale. Never higher or lower.

110 psi at idle? If your oil pressure was that high you would leak (probably gush) a quart per minute. Definitely not correct.

I have a '92 with 185,000 miles. My oil pressure, as checked with a manual gauge, shows about 30-35 psi at idle, while hot (10w-30). At higher rpm it runs about 40-50 psi. Amazing isn't it? That 3800 is one hell of a build!
