Oil Pressure
So starting last week my car has had a weird problem with the oil pressure. It runs high all the time now. It runs at about 80 psi all the time and only drops down when I am at idle to about 70 psi, and sometimes when accelerating "heavily" it goes to the first mark pass the 80 psi point, and every once in a while it smells like burning oil when I am stopped at a light. There is no oil level loss though or anything and I am confused. Any ideas as to what could be wrong?
Thanks, Brad
P.*. I am using 10w30 regular oil

typically when a sender begins to fail, it fails to the high side....
i would try and get a mechanical gauge to get real readings
and if you need to replace, shoot for the AC delco, as other Senders have been known to provide inaccurate and not consistent readings
