I was checking my maxi fuses regarding my radiator fans in this thread, and when i took them out they looked like this:

What is up with that dark corrosion/burnage? Or is that normal corrosion from being outside of the car in the moisture? I've never seen dark corrosion/burnage on anything in an outside fuse box before. I did, of course, clean all the corrosion off and the terminals are nice and shiny again.

I haven't pulled them out of my 2000, but from experience with other cars, it looks normal. They handle a fair amount of current, which heats them up, and discolors them. The corrosion appears to be in places other than the contact area, so that could be from condensation.
I've seen them browning and turning..but never quite that dark. I would buff those up and use dielectric upon reinstallation. Also consider pulling/cleaning the rest of the car'* fuses and relays.
