Default Noise in Trunk area

Hi,

2004 SLE 85K
I frequently hear a noise in the rear area of the car.
It sounds like a motor turning on and off.

My fuel indicator gauge is currently broke and I am going to try the quick
fix posted by Hans.

Any suggestions ? Could the sending unit be bad and making this noise ?

Thanks in advance

John

It'* OK. It is the air ride compressor turning on and off.

I concur with GXP V.. Although you should only hear it about 30 seconds after startup and then if the shocks need air to maintain correct height.
