Default My new exhaust tips!!

Ok, just won these off of eBay and can't wait to get them on the Bonneville! They're pretty much exactly what I've been looking for and the price was perfect so I had to get them. They're a little longer than the stock ones so a little cutting and welding is needed, but luckily my buddy'* dad is a pro at it and told me he'd hook me up for a case of Miller Lite! I wasn't to hot on welding them on at first but I figure I plan on keeping this car until it dies so losing the tips will be pretty insignifigant by then, and if I want them bad enough I can just cut 'em off.

Anyway, here'* a pic of the tips. I'll be sure to post a lot more in the "Your Ride" section when I get 'em put on in about a week!

They ought to fit perfectly. The stock tips are just a hair over 6" wide while the new ones are 6.25". The openings are both about 8.5" wide so there should be plenty of room for them.

What year Bonneville is your pic from? Mine come straight out and are longer, unless I'm not looking at them right...

Actually, I just went to double check and mine look similar to yours, but there'* a good two inches or more of straight pipe after the bend. Kinda strange they'd change such a small thing like that; guess it was to incorporate the different tips?

Aw man, I never thought to look at the way the pipes angled, I just ordered some tips off ebay too, should arrive in the next couple of days. I hope I dont encounter any problems trying to weld them up (or should I say I hope my buddy doesnt have any problems!!) Mine'* an '02 as well, so I hope there is a bit more straight pipe to work with.

Joe.
