Default Moon roof problem...

Has anybody had any problems with their moon roof in the 00+ Bonne'*? I went to open it this morning and it started to open and then stuck! It would close again but wouldn't ever open. Is there some maintenance that I should be doing or something else that I need to do to get it working again. Please let me know as soon as you can. Thanks,

Mac

if it is like the 92-99 (which I believe it is), you are going to have to replace the track. which requires dropping the headliner (that is the worst part) replacing the track assembly is easy.

Should the track be greased? Looking at mine I wondered if that should be normal maintenance?

I would lightly lube it with some white grease.

Sounds like the drivers seat in my wife'* SUV. It won't come forward all the way now. Seems like it should be a problem with something getting in the way if it'* able to move partially. Maybe a twig got in there or something?

I've got a problem with mine.... when closed it doesn't sit flush with the rest of the roof... so far it isn't a problem since it doens't leak.

Also... my roof won't allow me to go all the way forward when it just cracks open the rear of the sunroof. (Kinda like in Karl'* sig).

Karl - I didn't even know that they could be set to vent? Is that a real function or a modification of your own.

I am going to try and lighty lube as Boosty suggested first (of course) before I put and real effort into the problem. I appreciate all the discussion and by all means keep it coming!

Wow - how many topics are we going to cover here :?:

Do a search and you will find information both on how to adjust the moonroof, and how to open it to vent - or read your owners manual for that. Back on topic.

My 02 has that problem, but only the rear passenger side of the window doesn't go completely flush. I just push on it a little and it goes into place.
