Yep, I get a wobble or shimmy in the gas pedal when making right turns. Nowhere else, just the pedal.

A little clunk sometimes (most times) when engaging the tranny from park. Could be tranny, I suppose, but I also hear it (it'* not loud) when coasting and then pressing the gas.

And lastly, when cruising along at highway speeds, I get a cyclical vibration up through the steering wheel, especially when going uphill.

Could have a few issues going on here, but from what I have been able to gather reading, it'* sounding like a bad inner CV. Assuming the left side because of the pedal wobble when making right turns... ?

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Any way to easily check/isolate the problem?

The clunk when putting the car into drive might be a tranny/engine mount. Check those first. If those are okay...then check the wheel bearing for play, slop or noise. Lastly....then the CV'*.

I'm thinking that sounds like a CV. But check the other stuff first, it'* easy to do.

If you find out it is the CV, it might save you some $$ if you just change the axle out

Thanks for the advice, all. If it is the CV, the whole half shaft will be replaced. I think rockauto has them for around $50 (if I was looking at the right part).

Half shaft replacement has beed described to me by a few friends, they make it sound easy (most things sound easy... at first). Any special tools needed?
