UIM= Upper Intake Manifold, but you have a supercharger and don't have one
LIM= Lower Intake Manifold, the piece the supercharger is bolted to
Dan, if the thermostat was stuck open wouldn't the hose be hard, not soft like he said?

Ya the thermostat is 7.99 at autozone and the guy said once you take off the gasket holder for the hose you need a new one since the old one will not go back on it is designed that way he says. I think I will have my mobile mechanic do it. He is cheap labor.

What?? You get a thermostat and a gasket, no big deal. Remove 2 bolts, pop housing off, about a cup of coolant comes out. Pop out old thermostat, clean up gasket surface. Put new thermostat in, put housing on, tighten two bolts, add a little coolant threw the radiator cap. Done.

Yah if you have a 10mm socket you can do this, we need to get you to start getting your hands dirty and stop using this mobile guy, how much is his labor? I would think more than a shop
get yourself a good set of sockets and screwdrivers, its good for more than just your car

You will save a ton of cash doing even the easy stuff. For tools all you need is a 3/8 socket wrench, a 10mm, 13mm, and 15mm socket, a short extension, a set of screwdrivers, and that'* about it. You can cover most maintenance things.

By doing the easy stuff you learn and build confidence in yourself and eventually tackle the bigger things. Mechanics labor charges can really add up after awhile.

Kinda steep I think:
Reseal intake manifold $650
Replace drive belt $120
Passenger outer tie rod end $120
Front end alignment $79
Reseal power steering pump $340
Replace drivers side axle $320
Tune-up $300
Fuel system treatment $149

Plus my check engine light just came on, what could that mean?
