More often than not, get in my bonnie and it will not start. Doesn't turn over. No goofy sound from the starter. Just won't start. There was a thread about this but I can't find it. I got a starter from ebay. Will be installing it today.

The dash cycles properly and there are no codes. Just turn the key and nothing. Someone please point me in the right direction.

If you have the spare key, try that and see if the car starts more reliably. If yes, then your other key'* resistor may be bad or need cleaning.

Take off both the battery terminal cables, clean the battery posts and the cables and apply some dielectric grease.

Thanks for the info, will be doing all that today after I swap the starter. Got the starter off ebay with a life time warrenty for $46 shipped so I didn't do to bad with that one.

Clean both ends of both battery cables. If they get corroded they will let enough amps threw to turn on lights, but not enough to turn over the engine. Happened to me already.

Starter fixed the problem. Thanks for the info. I am going to clean the ground bus terminal anyway.

Have your old starter tested. If that connection was bad changing the started would have corrected that problem.

I just found out (2 hours ago) my Bonnie is having the same problem. I've only pulled her out of the garage once since early November... Went on a 250 mile trip about 3 weeks ago. Didn't have a problem at all. This morning I decided to take her to work and whaddya know. No start... Nothing.

I guess I'll check to make sure I'm getting voltage to the starter. Try to bump the starter over with a jumper and see what happens.

I think she'* depressed from lack of attention. :(

Check and clean the battery cables. Common problem.

Cables are good. I jumped the stater and it did indeed turn over fine. It'* gotta be something between the key and the starter. Is the security light supposed to be on while the key is in the "start" position??

If you have the spare key try that. If it starts just fine, then its probably a dirty or bad resistor on your key and the VAT system is doing what it'* suppose to do.
