There is no date display on my 04 SLE. Funny thing is my wife and I talked about a date display on the ride to Church this morning.

the SLE is the replacement name for the SSE for on the 2000+ models.

I could not see spending the extra 5K for a fully loaded GXP. In 2004 the Premier Edition SLE had all of the options except the heated seats with power passenger seat, Side impact air bags, the radio upgrade, and a trunk convenience net. The only option I do not have is the 12 disc CD player but I listen to XM radio. Usually the CD does not get a workout and the cassette is used even less. We do use the cassette deck for some of our son'* music.

I really like this generation Bonneville a lot more than our SLE 95 Bonneville. Both are nice cars and I hope the 2004 is as reliable as the 95 was, only time and mileage will tell. So far the only options I miss from the 95 is the trunk release on the drivers door, in the 2004 it is in the glove compartment, and the under hoop light.
