hey so what was the point of racing with a 3.8 and on 87 octane? Just curious here, why not run 93 at least, be good to your engine. Mine never see'* anything less than 93. Did you go with anybody else running?

we dont have 93 just 91 , 89 or 87 in calif.
we run 87 or 89 in the central valley but put 91 in when we go to the mountains or when we have the 3.3" pulley on.
we have over 100K on the car, if it was going to harm the motor i think it would have done it by now. or it could break tomorrow.

As long as your knock sensors are working you continue to get 5 degrees of timing and no power. A 3.3 is too small for your car even with 94 octane let alone anything less.

2000SB good guess.
on the 4th run, if i would have ran it out instead of hitting the brakes so not to break out
(still did) it would have been in the 14.7 to 14.8 @ 93 to 94mph
not bad for 87 octane, but next time i go to the track i will make some or buy some
100 octane gas and put the 3.3 back on. going to Yosemite this weekend , highway 120
is suppose to open over the summit this Friday. sould be a nice drive.

p.*. 2000SB you ever go play at Whistler ? beautiful town (resort)

Since then it has grown and is popular year round with mountain bike activity off season.
With it being the chosen location for the 2010 Olympic Games, prices have skyrocketed.
They are building a new 4 lane super highway from Vancouver to Whistler BlackComb area. That will cut the driving time in half.
It has been and will be the destination to die for.

2kSB
Sky rocketed! We stopped at Whistler in 1999 on our way back from Alaksa. The price was $320.00 a night for a two room suite with two baths, living room with fireplace, kitchen and dining room. Also had a heated balcony that looked right at the gondola as it went up the mountain. We stayed three nights and loved every minute of it. We are going to try to make it back to Banff and Jasper next year and then stop over at Whistler again on the way home if the prices are not to high.
