Default IAT sensor reading 65,531?

Like the title says. Today i went out to start the car, it was -9 degrees F out. According to my Aeroforce my IAT temp is 65,xxx. Is this a sign of IAT failure?

I found out rockauto has them for 14 dollars so i got a new one along with a new AC Delco O2 sensor and a gasket for my EGR valve. In the meantime i went back out and turned the key, IAT was back down to 37* which in the garage was much more accurate. In the meantime I moved my IAT sensor back up to the coupling between the TB and my FWI since in winter time my IAT sees much lower temps anyways.

Sounds like a loose connection and an open somewhere. Could have been the connector itself?
Its not common to have to replace the IAT sensor.

hmmm, not sure. I bought it from you guys and according to my log i installed it 11/15/06. That is quite possible as it was -9 and my IAT sensor was right next to my filter down in the fenderwell. I checked the connections on the caspers extension harness to the sensor and to the factory wiring and it was all connected and the connections were clean.
