I think I need new LIM gaskets
Just my .02...
I had a 4.3 V6 that was experiencing cold start lifter clatter that ended up being LIM gaskets.
The oil was never milky/cloudy,and there was never any condensation in the oil cap. The coolant wasn't being heavily consumed, and fell within acceptable limitation as set forth by GM. It finally ate it'* rod bearing like corn flakes on the way home from a road trip.
Long story made short, if you guys have even the slightest reservations about your intake gaskets, get them replaced. Don't let someone talk you out of them, especially a Stealer-Ship.
Demand satisfaction. It'* tremendously better than being stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. IMHO
