Default I got a P0401 and P0443

My ses light has been going on and off for the past couple days and I finally got the codes pulled today. I got a 0401 and a 0443.

The 0401 looks simple enough to narrow down, from the info in in the tech info section I need to clean the egr and possibly replace. The information on the 0443 code honestly confuses me. It says something about a purge control circuit and further information indicates a possible problem somewhere between the pcm and the evap canister (I think).

Im just trying to figure out if the0443 code could be caused by a faulty or egr or possible carbon build up. It seems as if the 0443 code is more of a voltage problem but I just want to be certain.

Thanks

Chances are the P0443 is a bad purge solenoid. Change it out and it should go away. But check the vacuum lines first to make sure you don't have a vacuum leak.

I am definitely going to check the vacuum lines. I check them spraying them with carb cleaner while the is on . . correct?

Not too familiar with the purge solenoid, where exactly is that located?

If your supercharged it'* above the rear valve cover. If your none supercharged it'* over the front valve cover near the coils.
