It'* been below zero for about a week here and i get that noise when i first turn on the heat after the car has been sitting overnight, but only for about 5 seconds.

Dave, give the test procedure listed a try to see if that settles things down. If it does, and you need the repair procedure that is listed in the TSB, post it here, and I'll post the rest of the TSB. Also, check to be certain that nothing got sucked into the fan area that could be rubbing. Pull out the cabin air filter and look to see if you can see anything by the fan.
