Heater Noise ***The dying chicken***
I'm going to post this here because I don't know how "mechanical" it is to put in the 2000+ section.
Occationally I have a problem with my heater making a loud squeeling like a dying chicken.
It'* very annoying! Anybody else encounter this problem? My girlfriends '96 Eighty Eight LSS has a simiar noise and we both have the climate control feature, I'm not sure if this is a common trait of the climate control or not even though hers is 4 years older than my car.

No such noises observed here <knock on wood>... and... I got to wonder how you know the squeal of a dying chicken...

Could it be a whistling dying chicken? See if this TSB applies?

Loud Whistling Noise From Passenger Inboard Instrument Panel (I/P) Vent (Install Foam Block)
Models:
2000-2001 Buick LeSabre Custom
2000-2001 Pontiac Bonneville SE
with RPO C67 Built Prior to VIN Breakpoint 14165829
Condition
Come customers with the C67 HVAC module without the console/floor vent may comment on hearing a loud whistling noise from the passenger inboard I/P air vent. The loud whistling noise may occur when the HVAC system is in the defrost mode and the temperature setting and the fan blower speed is on high.
Cause
This condition may be due to high pressurized air flowing through a small space between the passenger inboard I/P air vent damper door and the duct housing.
Correction
Perform the following in order to determine that the above condition exists:
1. Insert the ignition key and turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Set the HVAC controls. Refer to the above condition.
3. With the HVAC system operating, gently pull the front vertical air distribution duct that is under the I/P towards the rear of the vehicle.
4. If the whistling noise stops, GO TO the repair procedure.
5. If the whistling noise does NOT stop, refer to the standard diagnostic procedures in the Service Manual.

Yeah, it does sound like that Bandit!...Only amplified though!! It happend to my girlfriends car mainly on high, but mine hasn't been on high all the time when it'* happening. Could the TSB be fixed for free by a dealership if that is my problem?

So most likely the blower motor or flaps and valves whistling?
