Headrest Problems
Does anyone else have an issue with the lack of detenting or locking of the front seat headrests? Mine seem to be missing something as they just kinda tilt back if you put any pressure on them.
Take it back to the dealer and complain. If you don’t they wont know about it and wont care. First go sit in another Bonneville and see if it has the same problem. If not then if they say they cant fix it then suggest you have the solution and that is ripping the headrests of the showroom model. LOL works every time.

I have the same problems with my 2002. I will have to look if there is a way to tighten them. I never had this problem before with my Touring Sedan, but that had power head rests
Same goes for my 02. Even though I'm too short to put lots of pressure on them they still seem to just tip back. I've only had mine 2 weeks and have had to get a new ash tray door, it won't stay closed! When I go to have it replaced I will say something to my dealer and post a reply if there is a fix.
Take it too the dealer and make a serious but nice stink. Then let the dealer know you have talked with other owners with the same problem. I am sure if you do it right you will get it fixed. Also going to a local upholstery shop and asking them what they think can sometimes give you a better angle to come from when dealing with the dealer. Something like the upholstery dealer said $100.00 and he will fix it; ill be sending you the bill if you cant find a way to fix the car you sold me. Simple as that. LOL
Remember its business not personal so never raise your voice but smile alot and state the facts. Oh one other thing it would help a ton if anywhere on any literature that they provided they mentioned the option to adjust the headrests. That will destroy any argument they could have.

Talked to multiple dealers in depth...got lame excuses.....all the way to "it'* a safety feature"............. excuse me??
Anyway, I fixed mine....pushed the headrests all the way forward and pushed a short length of 3/8" fule line up inside.
They seem to work pretty nicely, had them that way now for 6 months or so....my wife will actually ride in the car now!!
Now the drink holder issue......any way to get two cups of coffee in one of these things??
