Thanks to all that replied,so a tube intake with a cone filter is the way to go.The RSM intake for the Gran Prix is 199.00,the one for the Bonne is 249.00,the picture and description are identical. Why is there a 50.00 difference and would the Gran Prix intake work?

Get the Thrasher intake. The design of the box makes it easier to cut, etc. Make sure you get it with a K&N filter, not a K&N "style" filter. Use the factory tube off the TB. Follow my step by steps. Make sure you have a dremel tool, with a carbine cutting disc...

Good luck..

A Thrasher intake will definately work very well. You don't need any PCM relocating kit or a smooth intake hose. We didn't get either for the GTP and have had no problems with the PCM at all, and the ribbed intake hose doesn't seem to be hurting it too much.

Just my $.02. And if I were you, I would definately get a smaller pulley, colder thermostat, and colder spark plugs to go along with the intake.

I've got a Thrasher and have NO REGRETS. Get one. The bottom piece needs to be cut some, cuts very easy with a dremel tool. Not a big deal. It does come with a new ribbed intake duct, don't see any problems with it. There will be a gap, but still looks/works great. Spring time I plan on insulating it with the tape and wrap and make it totally air tight against the fender. The K&N is the way to go to. Also got the IAT relocation.

I was in your postition 5 months ago, get yourself a 3.4 pulley right away, best HP per dollar to start, that with an Intake like the Thrasher, and a lower Thermostat 180, the car will be much more friendly to your right foot. Pulley alone adds 25HP and 50 TQ. I also threw in a shift kit

One more thing about intakes the pipe and cone under the hood with NO box isn't the optimal way to go, get some kind of CAI. Best to get most cold air possible, breathing underhood air = less HP. Search for a member Rogue, he has a MSP box and looks like it is a good box, not flashy at all, looks like stock box, but gets the job done.

Welcome to the board too. check mine out cardomain page at the bottom for more info.

You can aleviate that "gap", but you will need to use the stock ribbed hose. I purchased my setup from Tillen'* High Performance, and showed him some pictures after the intsall when I had that gap. He (Tillen) suggested I find a way to close that gap...I did. Works/Sounds great!
