Default Gauges are frozen in 2003 SSEI

All my gauges are frozen, 45 mph, fuel, 180 temp, etc..... I have a scan gauge and it will still display the speed. Checked the fuse and all are good. Found the following wiring diagram for the Instrument Panel.

I have power on A6 and A7
I have 2 ohms to ground on A8

Is the IP junk?

It sounds like the IP wiring harness might be the problem. We just stripped one out of a 2000 SSEi, hit up sawgunner on this, he'* the one that sat there pulling that part out.

My gauges won't even do the sweep when you first turn the key.

The harness could be broken, it'* just a ribbon cable. Do any of the lights turn on?

Most of dash lights work (2 burnt out), turn signals, traction, etc... all work.
Driver Information Center Works.

Looks like normal 18 gauge wires up to the IP. May be a ribbon cable in the IP itself.

It appears that just the Mechanical Part of the Gauges are frozen.

ok i'm back from ohio. got in around 2am this morning now the car has had 3200 miles put on her in 2 weeks LOL.

the wires that go up to the instrument panel are completely ribbon wire looks kinda like the wiring to an old comodore 64. if that got pinched or or rubbed then that would cause some issues. but the way they have that in there it can't move unless very forced to the point of breaking the dash.

i just dropped off the entire body and dash harness in ohio but we have a picture of it some where.

have you taken your cluster out and inspected the two connectors on the back of it?

look at the prongs on the dash end and make sure they all look alike if one got bent it will do some crazy things.

i still have the cluster sitting here it has 194,5xx on it and every bulb and needle worked in it.
